in the afternoon bestie n i met up n
headed down to Bugis, National Library.
it was my 1st visit to NLB since i came back frm China.

we werent dere to indulge ourselves in the fantasy of books,
but dere to prepare ourselves for our HK trip!
we drew up a brief itinerary for ourselves
so dat we can make full use of our time in HK.

im glad we've booked our tickets,
settled our accomodation,
n our last step is to come up wif the full plan.
(which we are in the process of doing so.)

i cant wait for the 1st of March!

we shopped ard Parco
n headed to Wong Kok Cafe for dinner.
(such a HK day todae. haha.)
i was v happy wif our seats coz
we were seated at table 13!
bel had her fav drink in China,
GINGER COKE. i tried their RED BEAN,
not too bad.
bel ate CURRY UDON.
i tried it but didnt realli like it
coz the curry has a weird taste.
i tried their GLASS NOODLE WITH PRAWNS.
i love glass noodles (prob coz of thai express)
n i finished it all up coz it was yummy!
Bestie n i simply love
RETAIL THERAPY!
(but i hope they are not just "comfort buys".)

we headed to Central tgt coz her frenz were dining at Waraku
n i wanted to pay Charlene a visit
as well as to wait for her to knock off.

we shopped at Central n while waiting for clock to struck 11pm,
i went Plaza Sing to shop for sum stuffs.

i came back to Central at 10pm
n waited till 11pm before going up to PDW.

they were still doing closing
n so i helped out abit here n dere.

Charlene was realli busy closing the pantry.
but it's good dat she can gif me a SMILE
even when she had many things undone.
we took train tgt,
alighted tgt,
n went separate ways home.

a tiring yet fulfilling day!

n so todae we had a simple dinner at JUMBO! the first thing we did was 捞鱼生！

i would say Jumbo's Yu Sheng is the BEST!

my 2nd day of CNY was spent visiting the seniors.
one of them was my Ah ma!
she's NINETY alr but v healthy! aft visiting my Ah ma
my dad drove me to Bestie Bel's house!

i bai nian-ed wif her mum
n we hurriedly left to meet meng at PS.

while waiting for our movie we had dinner at TCC.
bel had a FRUITS CHOCO ICE CREAM CAKE.
i got myself a MATCHA KISS.
totally in love wif matcha since i started work in pdw.
Bel had an ICED KAFFELLO LATTE.
there's coffee jelly inside! meng tried their main course,
SEAFOOD AGLIO OLIO.
(pdw definitely serves better pastas.)
n before we rushed off for our movie,
we took a group pic to mark our day! we watched BRIDE WARS
n it was a pretty enjoyable n hilarious movie.
i tot it was worth my 10 bucks.

afterwhich we took a bus tgt to bel's hse
n we alighted v randomly coz we saw good food!

we had supper at this famous indian makan place SPICE.
i had a mushroom n cheese prata
n it was yummy!

though it's terribly sinful to haf supper but well,
bel n meng made it all worthwhile.

we stayed over at bel's place
n it was another memorable stayover session.
n i realli treaure the time we spent tgt.

last of all,

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

todae is the 1st day of CNY
n my relatives came over
coz our family invited a lion dance troupe!

a very multi-racial troupe
because they haf Caucasians, Malays n Chinese.

everyone was so hyped n excited when we heard
DONGDONGCHENG!
the lion moved ard the house n
into each n every single room.
i supposed the purpose is to bring luck n fortune
to the entire house!

it came back to our living room n began the
LION DANCE!
 the BINGs n BANGs were so looooouudd
but i simply enjoyed it!

the lion settled down after its dance
n started peeling mandarin oranges inside.
aft peeling it threw the skin n sum veggies outta its mouth
n we were supposed to catch them.
den my dad handed angpows wif numbers to the lion.
for 4-D of coz!

n it's time for the lion to
throw mandarin oranges for us to catch!
my mum n aunt caught them!
the lion "secretly" formed this "旺" underneath
using mandarin oranges.
