My weekend was spent with the ppl i luv.

On sat,
it was the dae when im gonna drop in my contest form n
see if i can win the $1000.
i tot nobody would be as stupid n dumb as me
to flip thru the newspaper ads every single dae for 14 daes
n cut out the 28 ads.
5 prizes for $1000 cash.
25 prizes worth $5000.
i want the thousand dollars damn badly can.

so i went to suntec n god.
REN SHAN REN HAI.
there were so many boxes for ppl to drop their contest forms!
n all of them were filled!
i was pretty disappointed.
juz tink.
so so so many ppl participating n
only 30 could walk away with either cash or prizes.

the draw started at 5pm sharp
n the emcee was juz driving me crazy.
kept mentioning abt the cash etc.
n u cant juz walk away with ur cash or prize juz like dat
when ur name is called u noe.
after ur contest sheet is drawed
frm the POOL of contest sheet,
u go up on stage to crap a bit
n 2 darts would be given to u.
there's a barrier separating u frm the wall of balloons.
colourful balloons i mean.
n in each of the balloons is a slip of paper
revealing ur prize or the thousand dollars.
so u got to shoot frm a distance,
realli sum distance,
n burst one of the balloons.
2 chances given.
after dat no more.
u get off the stage n walk away wif one stupid 'good'ie bag.

so we all waited anxiously for the draw.
one by one.
one after another.
seeing how the ppl missed their shots.
n gettin off the stage with their baddie bags.
whereas 2 of the lucky ones actuali walked away with a thousand dollars cash!
so 3 more lucky contestants to win the 3 other thousand dollars.
sum walked away wif fondue maker,
$700 worth of digi cams,
etc etc.
i didnt wan those prizes at all.
juz let me haf the thousand dollars plzzz.
so names after names were called.
disheartened.

"Jessica Khek from Tampines Ave 7!!!"
OMG!
dats me? me? realli me?

yea!
no doubt it has got to be me!
so i hopped on stage
wif heart pounding like ive juz finished a 4.8km run.

"OH! retro girl! hey i like ur style, jessica!" the emcee commented.
haha.
dats the only thing which the emcee said dat got me quite happy.

right after the absolutely CORRECT comments frm the emcee,
he blurted out,
"Are u a singaporean?"
"Of COZ!!"
i doubt i look like the angmors
so he muz haf tot dat im frm china.
den he is so WRONG.

anyway i was trembling badly
n i had no idea how was i goin to shoot the balloons.
the distance frm where im gonna shoot to the walls of balloons
juz seemed to be so much mor further than i tot.
i was prepared to miss it
n tot of geting my small sis up for the second n last shot.

but who cares.
haf to shoot it sumhow.
so many pairs of eyes staring at me.
i juz gave it a try.

"BOOM!"
"WOW! she got it in juz ONE SHOT! dats AMAZING!" the emcee commented.
the 2nd CORRECT comment.
sumone was there picking up the slip of ppr
n i was mumbling to myself, "a thousand...a thousand.."
n the emcee heard it.

"CONGRATS! u juz won urself a pair of MOVIE TICKETS!....
plusss......a THOUSAND CENTS!"

damn the emcee la.
dare to make fun of me liddat.
so wad if he's an ang mor.
u tink i gif it a damn?
this is singapore!
no room for angmors like u.

so i got off the stage reluctantly wif the golden village movie tickets.
