it's time for some ARTsy FARTsy here peeps!

i'll be away in china for some time

n sad to say,

im gonna miss out on some of my bestest fren's bdae.

which means i hafta prepare their gifts before i leave.

i always haf this liking for handmade gifts

n so i'd usually handmake gifts for my frenz as well.

though it takes more time n effort,

but the smile on their faces makes

everything so worthwhile.

bel's gift has alr been nicely made
n given to her during the girls' outing.

so im left wif bro's gift!

haha.

let me hold a mini handicraft workshop here shall we?

first,

i would strongly recommend u guys to drop by

spotlight at plaza singapura

becoz they haf a lot of frames, wooden boards etc,

which u can use for ur DIY gift.

next,

prepare the materials which u would need.

1. simple stationeries like markers, scissors, double-sided tape etc.

(u should be able to get them at home ya.)

2. Paint is v important too! (surely u haf it at home?)
3. Preeetttyy papers ! ( Spotlight n Made With Love sell loads of them.)

4. stick-on alphabets of diff texture! ( also from Spotlight n Made With Love.)

5. cute wooden pictures dat can gif ur gift a 3-D look! (all from Spotlight.)

6. stick-ons which can help to decorate n beautify ur gift! (Spotlight as well.)

7. lastly, some beautiful ribbons! (Spotlight.)

1. Paint ur wooden board (depending on wad u choose) wif the colour u prefer.

2. Pick a few pictures which u would like to use.

For example,

3. Paste the pictures onto the decorated papers n cut them out.

4. This is when ur creativity comes in! DECORATE them!

5. A picture speaks a thousand words!

6. Feel free to decorate ur gift wif anything u like as long as they look good! Afterall it's all about CREATIVITY! n everyone HAS IT!

7. Tie the 3 pieces up using ribbons n there u go!8. Dont forget abt ur front cover too!

9. Last of all, rmb to do ur gift in YOUR STYLE, YOUR WAY. =)

10. Wrap ur gift up nicely n u are DONE!

Honestly making a gift isnt easy because it requires ur time n effort n lots of ur brain juices! dere are sacrifices which u haf to make too. For eg ur beauty sleep...which means u finish doin them at 6.13am..n u sacrifice ur hands as well! haha.nonetheless, im sure u'd feel a great sense of satisfaction aft completing ur gift! So if u havent try making a DIY gift yet, u can start doin them now! it's good to keep ur hands working!
